Background

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to family 1 of G-protein coupled receptors. It is the receptor for follicle stimulating hormone and functions in gonad development. Mutations in this gene cause ovarian dysgenesis type 1, and also ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010]

Overexpression

FSH Receptor antibody [HL2784] detects FSH Receptor protein by immunofluorescent analysis.
Sample: Mock and transfected 293T cells were fixed in ice-cold MeOH for 5 min.
Green: FSH Receptor stained by FSH Receptor antibody [HL2784] (GTX639652) diluted at 1:500.
Blue: Fluoroshield with DAPI (GTX30920).

Boiled and unboiled mouse tissue extract  (50 μg) were separated by 7.5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with FSH Receptor antibody [HL2784] (GTX639652) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody, and the signal was developed with Trident ECL plus-Enhanced.
