Background

Mutations in this gene lead to tuberous sclerosis complex. Its gene product is believed to be a tumor suppressor and is able to stimulate specific GTPases. The protein associates with hamartin in a cytosolic complex, possibly acting as a chaperone for hamartin. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Various tissue extracts (50 μg) were separated by 5% SDS-PAGE, and the membranes were blotted with TSC2 antibody [HL2974] (GTX640361) diluted at 1:1000 and competitor's antibody (Highly Cited Competitor) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody.

Sample: HeLa cells were fixed in ice-cold MeOH for 5 min.
Green: TSC2 stained by TSC2 antibody [HL2974] (GTX640361) diluted at 1:500.
Red: alpha Tubulin, a cytoskeleton marker, stained by alpha Tubulin antibody [GT114] (GTX628802) diluted at 1:1000.
Blue: Fluoroshield with DAPI (GTX30920).
